This subject will be particularly interesting to you Postwar collectors out there.
A good friend of mine went to York and bought a Lionel Postwar #53 Rio Grande Snowplow made in 1957 with the box, both in very good or excellent condition.
Lionel made some of these engines with the "a" in reverse in the word Grande, and some with that "a" normal.
I forget which version of that engine my friend bought, but apparently one version is more valuable than the other.
Does anyone know of any model train magazine articles, or have any information, about this engine, the two versions of it and their values?
