Lionel Pre and Postwar wiring questions

Greetings!

I have a prewar Lionel 318 engine that I have restored and would like to rewire. However, I have no schematic for it or know what gage wire to use?

I also have a couple postwar whistling tenders (6466W) and accessories that need to be rewired and would like to what gage wire would be reccomended for this as well? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
