Thought to post a problem im having with prewar whistle chamber. I replaced brushes and was able to get motor to run excellent, however there is an air leak in chamber. Sound of motor running but no whistle sound. Ran some oil on chamber seal and whistle picked up sound. So any suggestions here would be appreciated. I see the chamber is riveted. Is there a way to remove and replace rivets? Or any good sealer to be used in lieu of finding another whistle assembly. Suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and read.

The 2226W should have the WS-85 motor:

Much service information here: http://www.olsenstoy.com/searchcd31.htm?itm=708

As you can see, it isn't riveted together, but instead uses groove pins. I'm guessing a new WS-60 gasket would be in order.

Thank you very much Bmoran4. That reference is excellent for part numbers and troubleshooting. Very much appreciated. And yes my mistake calling the pins rivets.
