Just picked up a junker off the 'bay and was presently suprized to find most of the parts in the box.
I am specifically looking for a: Pilot Truck assembly
Headlight w/platform(or the complete front)
Rest of the parts are generic like : Motor
Smoke Unit
misc tmcc boards
universal joint(motor shaft to worm gear)
Any help would be great, otherwise, I may have to wait until Lionel gets moved in and up in running later this summer

If you happen to need any of the piping detail from under the boiler running boards I do actually have it left over from another project.
Thanx Nick...surprisely enough I have pretty much all the detail parts other than the headlight. The front pilot was busted(so I can repair that). Could make a pilot truck if I have to. Not much time for trains lately....lol

If the headlight you are looking for is part of the boiler front I don't think Lionel has them available. I had the M1a and a few years ago I was able to get a replacement boiler front, a favor from Dick Maddux, because one of my number boards was missing.
I don't recall them offering that part as a separate sale item but you might check the Lionel parts department. You might have to see if you can get one from the M1b they produced a couple of years ago.
the Pilot is impossible to find as well, and if you just stare at them at the right angle they fall off and break.
Depends on which version of the M1a or b pilot you wish to model. The cast steel pilot is available on page 189 of the PSC catalog. Electronic page 195

Funny...I was thinking about doing another post about modifying this early version into a modernized one! I noticed this solid pilot PRR casting in the Prec Scale on-line website and wondered if anyone had installed one on the Lionel model.
John, what do you have that might help me out?
