Lionel RR designation

Tranquil Hollow RROGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBER

I have noticed that certain engines will be listed, for example, 726RR. Others do not have that designation. What does it mean?

726 RR is the Re-Run of 726 loco in 1952 caused by shortage of metal used in "Magnet-traction" Original 726 changed to 736 then back to 726RR then back to 736. Same with 671 and 681
