I think we'll see the Allegheny this time around.

I'm eventually hoping for a Legacy BNSF crane car and tender. But that's an expensive pair and I was hoping that would be another catalog or two down the road, if it is even offered.
Charlie Ro has the absolute BEST price for a crane/boom-car combo offering at $510 when purchased together. Still a lot of money, but it's the best price I've seen... and you're working with a great dealer as an added bonus! Just order them together and EARLY, because one car in the combo tends to always sell out sooner rather than later. Seems counter-intuitive, but that's what seems to happen.

I predict the prominent road name for the former Weaver Models freight cars will be Baltimore & Ohio.
Andrew
How about, The Rock in the blue and White!! GP-38-2 or a GP-7 it has been years since it has been DONE!
Well, it don't hurt to dream
The former Weaver ALCo RS3 tooling turned into a highly-detailed Legacy-equipped offering in CNJ, D&H and/or LV...and of course all of the road names that others like, too!
Legacy PRR 2-8-0
TMCC equipped Fastrack operating track and uncoupling track sections
PW Trolley (I'm in for one too Marty)
How about a B&O operating crane car and tender?
http://www.borail.org/x215.aspx
In all the years that they've been producing them, they have yet to make on in the livery of America's First Railroad! And, NO, CSX and Chessie do not qualify. I mean, really, they make a Bethlehem Steel Railroads version before the B&O?

UP 3985 with whistle steam-an addition to the Excursion Train.
Die-cast steam locomotive prices exceeding brass costs will be a common theme.
Some Rutland Steam, PLEASE
No one has said 4449 in AFT colors and all the cars for 2799.99 or a Daylight scheme for 1299.99 so I guess I will call it. With Smoking Whistle, Dynamo and injector steam, and cylinder cocks steam.
I would like to see open scale auto racks and weaver flat cars with trailers. Engine wise I would love to see a TH&B GP-7 with a couple of road numbers along with TH&B cabooses. .......Paul
B&O Wagon top boxcars from newly acquired Weaver tooling please. Wishful thinking - not sure they even have it.
Great suggestions, everyone! I love the idea of the Class A, widecab GP40-2, B&O wagon top boxcars, and a re issued SP GS4. I would love to see a B&O Trailer Jet set headed by a GP30 in the B&O "Sunkist" scheme followed by 4 or 5 TOFC and a nice B&O Blue wagon top caboose.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. Except for a few added details and lots of hype, I don't expect to see much of anything really new. I'm more inclined pick up a few items I missed from recent years past in the secondary market at a depreciated discount then buy a high cost reissue in a new catalog..
Joe
Hoping to see all the finished products in the catalog at the YORK meet in April. Not just the bodies of somethings.
- I don't need to wait till next week for all of us to say Lionel is crazy . 1500 gg1s and 1700 for some steam engine they will have listed ..
A Dreyfuss Hudson and or an Allegany would be nice. On the diesel side the SD90 would be a likley candidate especially with NS having sd90's on the roster. Lionel has not made much modern day Canadian Pacific power over the past few years other than the vision es44 . It would be nice to see some big modern CP power.

Geez my prediction is coming true.
No surprises.

On page 1 I read whatever they offer will be discussed and complained about for several pages.
I think that sums it up. Me I would like an Ohio Central engine, don't think it's gonna happen.

The usual griping by the usual suspects.
And no doubt expressed in 4-5 rambling paragraphs when the same meaning could be imparted in about 3 sentences.
A LionChief + Long Island Rail Road Camelback please!

Thanks for the tip, that is a very good price. I try to support my LHS on most all my purchases, but we will see on these as my LHS has not been ordering many (if any) of the Lionel BTO items other than pre-orders (not sure they have had many of those either?). It's a pretty small shop compared to everything you guys have over there in the North East area, but I want to try and help keep them in business so I have a place to go look at trains and other related stuff. Fun place to visit and they do give me a discount (not as large as the Charles Ro discount on the crane car and tender set though, that is a good one).
I am not really counting on Lionel even making one of these in BNSF livery. They make very few BNSF items. Lucky if you see an engine and a piece of rolling stock in each catalog. I will probably have to either decide on another road name or pass all together?

They won't even get past Denver...so says I, so say us all.

Maybe but if true I'm guessing Brunswick green
I would LOVE to see a Boston and Maine Legacy equipped 10 wheeler or Mogul (DIFFERENT ROAD NUMBER than the 1455).
JANUARY 20, 2016 I predict a catalog with lots of great trains.
One hour late or less---whining about prices, didn't make the engine I want, detail is wrong, more whining.
Like stated above, I want more smaller Legacy Steam, like some 2-6-0 and 4-4-0's, in AT&SF. A Climax would be nice too. Also the Legacy crane and sound car in NS. And sound freight cars.
I predict there will be no reissue of the smoke bulb '46 version of the PW 2020 Pennsy turbine!!

If they make any at all, It will probably be offered in more than one design.
Maybe another road Conrail, NJ transit, Amtrak...but for the PRR I think they would pick 1 scheme green or red?
1. Higher Prices.
2. Items in Gomez Addams Mode: Goes 6 feet down the track, and blows up!

"Of course, why else would a grown man play with trains?"
Y'know, Andy - a reissue of the '46 2020 with the smoke bulb would actually sell well, I believe. Really. 10 points on the weird scale. Me, I'd like a LionChief Plus can-motor version of the Marx 666, but with decent side rods (I'm not really kidding). Wonder where that tooling got left?

Someone mentioned the 4449 in "AFT" colors. Not that I'd have to buy it, but that has to be one of the all-time ugliest things ever done to a self-respecting steam locomotive, especially a handsome SP GS - and if they make that, it means that they can't make something else, resources being finite and such.
Would like to see - - -
A fully operational bridge crane that would span over four tracks, complete with traveling beam, and trolley with hoist.
Alex
I like to see the route 66 weird stuff, the dirigible, saucer, they are hard to find. I be in for them.
