I recently experienced a command program issue on my sensor track. In the manual the pre-programmed commands range from 1 to 9. I chose #8 from left to right which would have the legacy engine tower give the command to slow to slow speed. It did it for awhile and then stopped all together. No message. However if the engine was going the other way it would give the command to go to normal speed. "What happened to my "slow to slow speed command (Lft to Rt)"? I tried to re-program but it did not come back. I programmed the other numbered commands and it works fine. Hmmmm. Where did # 8 go? Any ideas here?

I recently discovered that only one of my Legacy engines (Southern Crescent Locomotive) does not activate this particular command on my sensor track. When I switch the sensor track to a different command number it works find. Could this locomotive be blocked from sounding the command on #8? Anyone? Thanks.
I run other engines and it sounds off fine. How would I reset my Southern Crescent Locomotive for this particular sensor track? Thanks in advance.
@Railsounds might have an answer. Seems odd though.
Hi USCGRET,
Please try this test:
Using your cab2 remote, address the Southern Crescent locomotive.
press the long, thin SPEED button.
Press and hold the slow speed button for 5 seconds (it's in one the #2 position on the soft keypad)
Do you hear the "go to Slow speed" dialog? Let us know.
Thanks Rudy,
I will try it later on today and advise what happens when I get home.
Rudy,
I went to the slow speed button on my cab2 remote and the Southern Crescent Engine did sound off to go to slow speed. When it crossed the sensor track it did sound off from the sensor track. It continues. Thank you!!!
Upon closer investigation, I noticed the track around the sensor track has 2 1/4 short curve pieces prior and aft of the sensor track. This may cause the pick up under the tender to be "mis-aligned" as the engine passes the sensor track, depending upon the speed of the engine. I am going to correct, and hopefully this won't happen again in the future.
Thanks for the follow up. Sometimes we forget as much as the information presented is important, so are the possible solutions and ultimate fixes!
Thanks for the update. Yes, a misalignment makes sense, the receiver device closer to the curve must not have been "seeing" enough of the infrared transmission to recognize the ID of that locomotive and send it the dialog command. Glad it is working now.
