MTH never made a Super Motor. They made traditional Bild-A-Locos and Proto Drive motors (with can motors). The Bild-a-loco motor can replace a Super motor, but the mounting holes may be in the wrong place (can be drilled and tapped). The wheels in a Super motor are pressed onto axles with bearings mounted in the frame; bild-a-locos have slip fit bearings mounted on the axles that slip into the frame. Proto drive motors came in three variations for Lionel type locos, tall can motor, short and angled to fit various body shells.
