I'm fixing a Lionel 6-28243 Long Island c420 tmcc engine for someone. Lately, limited on time . So, any assistance would be appreciated. I repaired all the other issue. But, one of the lighting boards has bad LEDs. They have two white led's in parallel.
Lionel does not show the Replacement lighting board. Does, anyone have a source for white led's close to the Lionel color.
Also, the Led size would be appreciated.

Measure dia of LED, but probably standard 3mm. Problem matching color specifically, that really varied by LED LOT back in those days. You can always change resistor values to help tune it. G
The color temperature is actually my concern. The resistor will only decrease the brightness, not increase....I Aleah’s told the gentlemen there might be a sligh difference in look.
Just replace both LED's, color problem solved.
Yeah, all 4 parallel on this engine. John, what have you been happy with for 3 mm? Clear. Source.....in bulk?
I buy mine in bulk, typically on eBay. I've actually had good luck for the most part, and they're so cheap that the occasional disappointment just hits the round file.
