What about Fastrack?? I tried the setup per the instructions )top diagram) and got sparks.
I have the A wired to the center rail, and Common to the outer rails. Any chance this is somehow reversed?? Might that account for no whistle and the sparks??
Red wire of the 5906 to power, black wire to center rain. Wire from common to center rail. That's it.
If you're getting sparks you did something wrong.
For bell, red wire of the 5906 to "A"(multi train transformers) or "U"(single train transformers) , black wire wire of the 5906 to center rail/lockon clip 1.
The remaining connection - from transformer common - "U"(multi train transformers) or "A"(single train transformers) to common/outside rails/lockon clip 2.
The 5906 should not be connected to common ever.
I use that same button on my small layout and the problem I had was - all power must go through the button. So my second lock on was screwing up the circuit. BUT I'm using an American Flyer transformer. Anyway, transformer-button-track. All other lock ons are wired as feeders.
Will this work to sound the whistle on a 314AW? With an American Flyer Transformer.
