I was lucky enough to recently obtain a "new in the box" set of the Lionel Visionline Ethanol tank cars.  After programming the two sound cars into my CAB2 Legacy remote, everything seems to work perfectly except for the EOT light feature.  I have the EOT master switch turned to the ON position inside the tank car, but when I build a train in the Legacy remote and use it to move the train in the forward direction, the red EOT light does not turn on.  I've tried using the CAB2 remote to turn the EOT lighting effect on and off, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

However, when I change the trains direction and put the engine in reverse, the EOT light at the back of the ethanol tank car turns on and maintains a solid red glow (no flashing).  I am also able to turn the lighting effect on and off using the CAB2 remote when the train is in reverse.  When I change direction and have the engine move forward again, the EOT light turns off and will not light (or flash on and off as I assume that's what it is supposed to do).

Does anyone else have this issue, or does anyone have any suggestions as to what  I might be able to do to get the EOT light to work correctly?

Thanks, Phil

Reprogram the car with the correct code.  Apparently the FRED uses the strobe function of the R2(4)LC TMCC receiver.

Gunrunnerjohn, thanks so much for the advice.  That was a bit tricky with the extra step in the setup / programming process, but it worked like a charm.  My EOT light is now functioning correctly.  With all that you have going on with your layout build, I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to help me.
