LionMaster Challenger & Vision Auxiliary Water Tender

I have a JLC scale Challenger and several LionMaster Challengers, and the scale tender, which is what the aux. tender you're referring to would be, is too large to look right with the LionMaster.

However, you should look at the MTH RailKing version. They make a UP aux. tender in that line (made to go with the RailKing Challengers) which is perfect size-wise for the LionMaster Challengers. I have one, and it looks great with the LionMaster. They made it in UP yellow; black I don't know, but I don't recall ever seeing any in black. There are a couple on the Bay right now. It won't provide any additional sounds, of course, but the Legacy LionMaster (if that's what you have) sounds great without additional sounds. Add some sound freight cars and you'll have enough racket.

Thanks for the response.  It was as I feared.  I do have one, count 'em, one, MTH V2 DCS engine and one of these days I'm going to get the DCS setup to control it properly.  Otherwise, I'm heavily invested in the LCS ecosystem. So, I'll leave the LionMaster Challenger as is for now.

I agree with Breez 100 percent.

I have a half dozen or more Lion-master Steam Engines . I also have both of  the recent water tenders from railkking.

The Black and the Two Toned Gray.

Sorry to say I haven't taken either out of the box yet.lol But I ordered them because of the other posts on this forum.

I don't mean to pass the buck but there is a bunch of info if you do a search on the subject.

I do know that the scale  water tenders  I have don't even look   close.

Those were PERFECT - pics and all.  Definitely makes up my mind.  I don't really need the extra length - layout is small.  But I just LOVE gadgets, so the LCS sounds in the Vision Aux Tender were the draw.  I'll keep the MTH RK version in the back of my mind should I want to really make a long consist.  But I think I'm going to put the 3 pieces of the MOW work set in the Lionel V2 catalog on the list - the kitchen car has sounds!!!
