I know, seems it should be easy enough!!  Did not find at the weekend OKC Train Show, and no luck going "on-line"....   I know there is someone in the forum who can point me the right direction.  Looking for the Lionel PW 6818 transformer bottom "clip plate" that clips onto the bottom of the transformer and then secures the trans load to the 6818 flatcar part #6424-11.  Do not think this was used on the 6518 or 6461 transformer cars, basically used on the 6818.  Have made searches with a couple part suppliers, and without knowing the exact part number, no luck.  Also have looked for a blow-up of parts for the 6818 load, but my books do not have it, do not find in any search.  Anyone know where it may be located?  I am in need of a couple to do proper fix on a couple 6818 flats.

Thank you...

Thanks for the reply, Marty.  No, sir, if I had taken the "clip plate" off the bottom of the transformer sooner, I would have had the answer staring me in the face!  Yes, it is like Lionel, making use of parts on many different type cars.  The part holding the transformer is also the same as what secures the vehicle loads on my 6803-04 and 6806 to 6809 flats in the military flat car from the early 1960s.  The various Pyro loads on these are held by the same as is used in the 6818 transformer load secure mounting.  So, I was looking for the incorrect part number to begin with, will now try search for military US Marine vehicles made by Pyro and that part number.  With six of these flats on display 24-7 in the train room, no wonder it looked familiar when I removed it from the transformer.

Hope this may a good tidbit of information for others.

Yep, placed order for 3 of the 6804-5 from The Train Doctor @Brausser Train Parts.  Only have need for one right now, but have several of the 6818 flats/transformers and all of the Pyro load 6800 series Military flats.  Hope there is never a need on the 6800 series military flats, but the 6818 are more fragile and get a lot more running time.
