I've been organizing my older train club periodicals, and have a big hole in my knowledge of several California-based train clubs from long ago.

1) MTA: Model Train Association. Started in 1968 and I believe disbanded in the late 1970's. Published the "M.T.A. Express" magazine, starting in January of 1968. Anyone know what the last issue was?

2) ITBA: International Toy Buff's [sic] Association. Started in 1974 by Bill Harris, who also started TTOS. Lasted at least through 1978. This club included toys as well as toy trains. Published the "Toy Topics" magazine, starting in January of 1974. Anyone know what the last issue was?

3) IETCA: Inland Empire Train Collectors Association. Started about 1979 and lasted through the late 1980's, I think. They published a newsletter called "The Smokestack" but I've never seen any issues. Even though this club has "Train Collectors Association" in its name, it was NOT ever affiliated with the TCA.

I realize the heyday for most of these clubs was 30-40 years ago, but is there anyone out there that was a member of any of them, and might you have any info to share?

Thanks-

Todd
