Loss of signal as Imperial engine passes over Operating/Uncoupling Fastrack section

The pickup rollers on the uncoupler may be lifting the engine off the track, and thus it stalls.

If this is the case, you can remove the plastic piece under the pickup rollers (used for electrical isolation) and replace it with something thinner. I used electrical tape, however a very thin piece of plastic sheet would also work.

Joe K, thanks very much.  Most helpful. I'll try that first thing in the morning....

I have the same issue with an Imperial engine when traveling over an uncoupling track on a siding, but it doesn't do it when traveling over one on the main line. I have continuity in both rollers.  Haven't been able to figure out the reason.

Ron, thanks for joining. Although it's a problem, it is nice to know '[You] are not alone'  to steal from a TV series.  Seriously, if you ever find out why and a fix. please post it.  

I have had Fastrack magnets heat up and swell the plastic to cause this, especially the Fastrack single button that has a habit of sticking. Compared to a new one the magnet is higher.
