My SD60 Proto 1 converted to Proto 2 has worked flawlessly until now. It seems to me to be loosing DCS Signal. It responds find from commands but as it goes down the track it will take off then right back to set speed, jerks off and on. All my other Proto 2 engines run just fine, so to me it’s not track or signal loss, it’s in the engine it’s self. I have been messing with DCS for awhile and still consider myself as a totally loss rank amateur at this.

Oh, I did just remember I had my handheld and TIU updated. Would this cause any problems with a Proto 1 that was updated to Proto 2 ?

Any chance only  one center rail roller is working??? here's an easy test, place a piece of electrical  tape about 3 inches long  on the center rail and park the engine with one roller on the tape, the other roller should fire up the engine... try again with the other roller.    Or use a continuity meter at the workbench,

It does sound like a electrical pickup problem except most time the engine drops into neutral at the slightest power interruption..

I doubt  the upgrade would be a factor. PS proto-2 engine carry on withy the last command given in the event of signal lost....
