I missed out on a Williams t1 I found at a local hobby shop.  As luck would have it I was wandering through the Greenberg train show this morning when I came across this Williams t1.  It is sort of an ugly paint scheme (nothing a repay can't fix) and it does have a bit of damage on the front shroud (it's cracked right before the front cylinder).  But I got it even cheaper (much cheaper) than the one for $375 at the shop and this one from the looks of it was never run.....until earlier today

These were available directly from Williams in 1993.

 

You could get the basic unpainted version for $595.00. That included the engine wired for forward direction only and a set of decals. Painted versions were another $150.00 (Silver, Brunswick Green, Tuscan/Silver or Brunswick Green/Silver.

 

The electronic reverse was a $75.00 option and True-Sounds was a $175.00 option.
