I hope this is the right forum for my question. I have a long board with Fastrak on it that I can but up to my layout and use to store extra rolling stock. I have a bumper on one end but I need a way to chock the other end so the cars won't roll off while I move the board around. I am thinking ov simply using a refrigerator type magnet as an adjustable chock. I have several Lionel PS-1 sound boxcars. Could  the magnet possibly damage the electronics of the sound cars? Thank you for any ideas!

Note, Outside of trains there have been some OLD rom /ram component's that are pretty sensitive to strong magnetic fields. It took a magnet right on its back to wipe them before loading an update off board.  It might have been for a change in mechanical digit's & drivers, to LED display, or using a new driver IC. I dont really recall, I was just filling in for a vacationer.

Lol. It's actually just a small piece of shoe string or a small rock stolen from the latouts park here

But I'm not moving it around either.

I bet you could carve a block the wheels might be able to hop under power.

.....oh....I know....a take on a tinplate clockwork track mounted stop. Two saddles/holes and some wire for mech and target/handle  Give me a bit to find & link.
