I wouldn’t pull it out unless it’s absolutely broke. Clean the commutator face with a tiny little hunk of scotchbrite and clean out the three segment slots on the commutator face and let her eat. Just try and wipe up any rust on the armature with WD40. I don’t pull those motors apart unless they are really broke....that’s a bunch of unnecessary work........if you do pull wheels they will have to be re-quartered properly and pressed back on and still get good gear alignment as you press it all back together.........I’d clean it all up in place and see how she runs.......Pat

2037 still not moving. E-unit buzzes, seems to be rotating (sprayed with contact cleaner); cleaned edges of armature plates (corroded/rusty)(still not shiny); cleaned armature face and grooves; brushes good, just cleaned the sides and ends; cleaned brush slots.

Also, can't figure out how smoke pump rod works or fits; one offset end may interfere with wheel rod movement(?). Having trouble finding manual.

Also, headlight wire loose; where does it attach to? (soldered end)
