Has any one used a round coffee can to build a water tower? I would like to see a picture.

Yes, Bur I used a soup can. Wrap the can with Black construction paper. I used Starbucks coffee stirrers. Will try to post a better picture later. This is a fun project, by all means do it. The most challenging part is the base

That is what I like. Some one that uses their creativity to build something original and to save money also. I built my base with some weathered wood from my neighbor's fence the wind blew over. I can't see your roof. Is that homemade also?

My coffee can has 5 indented rings around it, like yours. I might lay it on its' side. That looks pretty good and I won't have to deal with a roof.

I use old large cylindrical boxes of Quaker Oats as my tower base. I cut them a little more than half. Here is one of the two that I have done:
