I have only seen Lionel apparel for sale. I have never seen anything for Weaver or Mike's Train House. Has anyone ever seen any shirts for either either of these manufacturers?

I have a black K-line shirt.

Lionel's logo is iconic - from across the room you know what it is and what it represents.
Try that with any other manufacturer and you'll get "huh?"
When Weaver was in business they sold shirts with their logo on it. I believe Atlas sells hats and mugs. I'm not sure about MTH.
I have MTH shirt, jacket and hat.
I also have them. Those items have been made. York is a good place to find them.
If I'm going to wear a shirt or whatever, with someone's name on it, it had better come to me at their expense, not mine. I always get a kick out of all the name brand clothing with their logos emblazoned on. Then people go out and spend more money because it has the logo. Doesn't make sense to me. Not only is the customer paying for the clothing, they're also paying for the marketing of the items.
I'm with Dan. How much are you going to pay me to advertise and indorse you.

Remember that when you're paying extra for a boxcar with a companies name on it.
So you won't wear a shirt or hat with:
Your favorite railroad,
Your favorite beer or soda,
Your favorite baseball or football team
Your favorite car,
because you don't want to promote someone's product.

Exactly. However, when ever I was out on a steam locomotive as part of the crew, i.e. NKP 765, SP 4449, UP 844/3985, I did wear the appropriate shirt/jacket & hat in order to promote sales in the souvenir car/shop.

The only hat I have that is railroad related is one from Steam Town. Not a railroad but a museum.
Your favorite beer or soda,
Absolutely not
Your favorite baseball or football team
I'm not into sports
Your favorite car,
If I cannot afford a Porsche, why would I buy a hat ?

Hey, I have promoted products via word of mouth and on these forums. Isn't that enough ?

I'm happy for those who enjoy whatever it is they enjoy. If they choose to spend their money on tchotchkes, that would be their privilege. I don't have the luxury of that tree in my yard with the money falling from it. I merely stated my personal opinion. Those who agree have made it known. Those who don't agree are free to make their opinions public also. I'm an equal opportunity listener.
A guy starts a thread asking about what manufacturer apparel is available in addition to Lionel. Several people respond, telling him that product from MTH, K-Line and Atlas has been issued.
And suddenly out of the blue you offer an opinion that you aren't going to wear apparel to promote someone's product, suggesting it's ridiculous to pay for such apparel.
The problem? No one was asking about the merits of such apparel. The original poster certainly didn't ask what people thought about such apparel. He wanted to know if it was made.
And your comment sounded liked disapproval. You're entitled to your opinion. But expect some push back when you state it without invitation.
Thanks for your reply Jim. I did say, in my last post, that everyone is entitled to their opinion. I merely expanded on the thread. Call it thread drift, if you will. Most of us here are guilty of it, no matter the topic.
