Hi Folks,

I found this little station at York on Thursday. The price was right.
Thinking it is Marklin but not sure.

Can anybody suggest where I might find a photo of a similar original station with paint on it?

I am contemplating restoring/repainting it as I do love projects. There is just enough paint left in some places to get an idea of what it looked like. Cream yellow walls with orange stripes. Tan brick foundation with black brick markings. Brown loading dock. Green crane and base. No paint left on the roof. ???
Since the originals were hand painted it might be fun to try my hand at it.

Thanks for any info.

Bert

I have a similar freight station in my collection except it has two sliding doors, i am not sure at all it is a Marklin model, many german manufacturers seems to have made this type of station.

Mine is original except the paint on the roof and the hook of the crane. I have redone the roof paint in maroon but i heve seen the same station with a blue lined roof

Hope it can help you to restore yours,

Very best, Daniel
