Nice layout and fun video with lots of action !
Looks good! Always nice to see Marx in action.
Cool layout, Bruce!
Nice LONG freight trains too. Well done!
Very fun to watch and most likely run. How did you couple the Lionel caboose to the 6" tin? I'm guessing it had a combination (Lionel latch and tab/slot) coupler added to it.
Are there any switches on that layout? On our modular club (using Gargraves track/ Ross switches), my metal scissor couplers short out on the switches. Just curious if that's an issue with Realtrax, or if you painted the uncoupler piece on yours.
Thanks for sharing that video,

The Lionel caboose was converted to slot and tab as well as the other Lionel cars that came with a minority coupler. The Realtrax layout you see had switches, which were stored as at one time I ran with all Marx track. I have never had problems with Realtrax switches as I shaved down the frogs to clear the geared wheels. But..that never presented a problem with regular MTH equipment running over the same switches. The biggest issue with scissors and slot and tab is the coupler being loose from either the body rivet or the guide for the coupler body being bent, and then droops enough to short on the 3rd rail. I eliminated the switches to add two more loops.

excellent! thanks for sharing.
That's cool!
Thanks for the reply electroliner. Eliminating the switches for more track looks like the better solution judging by your video.
Speaking of Marx and Electroliner, I wonder how a Marx 10005 would look in green and orange?

I think the observation end of a Marx 3/16 scale car looks "close" to the Electroliner. A good starting point for a custom project?

Love seeing Marx run. Mine mostly sits on the shelves and makes a appearance on the living room Holiday layout come November.
