Took a few weeks off from this project, getting close to done with all that I have.
Individual cars for this set are not particularly hard to come by and other Holiday cars were made besides these. Rudolph's nose on the boxcar flashes. The engine and tender are fairly difficult to find. The tender was always the same but the loco could have some color variations. The boxed set is a bugger to find.

Thanks for sharing your enjoyment and quest to acquire a complete Marx tinplate North Pole set. -and the box to boot! I appreciate the unpretentious, colorful addition to a traditional, charming Christmas-themed layout. Unlike the powerful and roaring growl of Lionel, the Marx has a chuga-chuga choo-choo charm that's unique to itself.

I appreciated their dedication and enthusiasm for the brand. However, in retrospect, I was focused on individual Lionel pieces. I needed the means to invest in their line. They are all beautifully crafted but, at the time, high priced for me—a loss.
