I would like to know what kind of material I can use for a billowing smoke effect in one of my buildings?

". . . . billowing smoke effect in one of my buildings?"
Is the building to be on fire or what?
If you mean to have smoke coming out of a chimney, Shred a cotton ball and stuff it in the chimney.

For smoke I use pillow batting accented with various dark colored chalks. See attached video/audio of my "old Valley View Hotel" fire.
Well done...great effect!
Dave,
That is really well done indeed!
Nice work. Would love to see some additional close-up photos when you have time.

Yes the building will be on fire. I have constructed the LED's but just needed it to know how to make the static smoke effect. Thanks for the help to all here.
That's very cool Dave, only one problem I see. Your fire department is not very efficient, they don't seem to be making any progress in putting the fire out!
It's a great effect, all you need is some heat to complete the picture.
Building is fully involved, gunrunner. They are in a defensive containment posture.
Thumb in their ear?
To RRaddict2, Didn't mean to hi-jack your thread but I figured in order to answer your question, a picture, err video is worth a thousand words.
To the other members who responded, thank you for your kind words. (and humor!)
I will try to post some photos of the scene, on the Building and Structures forum and explain why this building was created and placed at its location in the first place.
Dave,
Wow, that is one fantastic scene. The smoke effect is amazing. At some point you are actually going have to put it out or the EPA may come calling.
