Hi , I hope all of customers and friends I made in the model train world are doing well. Since a number of people have asked me about this I will pass it on. On Saturday September 17th Maurer's Auction's will auction off the balance of Weaver's inventory and collectibles. The auction starts at 10:00am and the lot numbers are #1 - #152. Thanks for the great memories. Joe Hayter.

Joe,
It's wonderful to hear from you. Were will this auction be held? Hope you are enjoying your retirement. You take care and have a great weekend.
I might consider some kind of absentee bidding, but all cases of 12 freight cars are listed as "Case of 12 Frt. Cars" with the preface "LOTS 115 THRU 141 ARE WEAVER N.O.S. CASES OF 12 FRT. CARS AS LISTED ON THE CASES, SEALED BOXES. TERMS & CONDITIONS WILL APPLY."
How can I absentee bid on anything if I don't know what it is???
Fred
Thanks Fred.
I went to the auction sight. Is there a way to know what is sealed in each twelve pack other then the word frt cars Also Joe it was nice to see a post from you. Thanks for all the good years of your trains. Hope you are getting to do a lot of enjoyable things in retirement.................Paul
I may have looked too quickly. Does Maurer do internet bidding? I didn't see it mentioned on the web site.
No internet bidding. You can place an absentee bid by phone or e-mail, but it has to be done the day before the auction. Here is the process:

Good luck with the auction Joe, I hope it's a sell out. I also wish you well in your retirement, although I see it's not quite 100% yet.

Hi Don, thanks for the post. Everything is going well, hopefully everything is good on your end.
Anyone know if they still have any Interstate hoppers left? I don't know how I would get to the auction, The VMT has Grandparents Day and I have to be in Atlanta for business the next day.
