Good luck - that's a tough one. I'm also putting together a circus train, and I also have the much more common yellow caboose. I've only seen a couple of the white ones on eBay and they sold for multiples of what I was interested in paying. I'm thinking about mixing some of the blue and yellow "convention version" circus cars into my circus train so that the yellow caboose doesn't look so out of place.

if you have a band wagon car and can make a recording, I might be able to help.  I have heard and played a bit of circus music in my time. 

Steve, glad you got your white caboose. I thought the asking price on this latest one was a bit steep also.

 

I have an E2 on which the thin die-cast trim on the trucks warped and broke off in pieces.  I just took the rest of it off, and painted the truck gloss black to blend in.  I don't think your bearing cover is much of a detriment either.  It's a "feature", not a "bug".
