Hi all today was pretty good day first I got up this morning and two meet gunrunnerjohn today it's always nice to meet people that you see on the forum. I wish I still had my train set still up and could of ran some trains but I just showed him stuff I had put away and talked trains what a good time and a pleasure meeting such a nice guy.

You will find that just about everyone you meet in person who are members of this Forum are some of the nicest guys in our hobby. It is always nice to meet in person the folks behind the posts. I have been very fortunate to have met many Forum members which makes participation in the Forum even more special.
I met John last August at Alex and Dina Malliae's open house event and as you have said, he is a wealth of train knowledge and a real gentleman.

I really enjoy meeting forum members, As mentioned, it's pretty hard to find a bad one. 
Some of the open house events are must visit events for that reason alone.
I'll take this opportunity to mention that the North Penn O-Gaugers are going to hold an Open House in Feburary, and all are welcome. 
I believe it's Feb 22.
I have had the pleasure of meeting a couple, I hope to make some of the large events someday to do just that. I do feel like I know a lot of these guys and gals even though I have never had the face to face contact YET.
