Sorry, did not get those buildings, I but I did recently receive:
* Filling Station: all plastic, nice, but no back to the building
* Door factory: 100% plastic but nicely detailed, very well assembled. Wonderful value - very happy with this one.
These were very well packed, no damage - lots of protection.
The Camaraderie Bar & Grill is made from wood and very sturdy. It has multiple lights on the exterior and a lighted beer sign. Great product and design...The Menard Mercantile has plenty of lighting as well and the displays show up well in the window. Both are well made models. Terry
I have 2 friends that have Menard buildings and they both love them. I am from GA and don't have Menard's in this area, but again both love them and rave about the value they felt for the quality vs price.
Good Luck.
The Bar and Grill has 2 outside lights but none inside.
There is a Miller Engineering Beer sign in the window.
Menards sells a 4.5 V wart but it is unregulated and the output voltage
is too hi8gh under little load. You can get a 5V regulated supply
from Miller.
Thanks for the feedback. Pa, so am I understanding you correctly, you need a separate power supply for the Miller sign & the lights just connect up to your txs.?
I will have to check my local store for these buildings.
Menards is not very clear about what the power supply is for
their buildings with lights and the Miller beer sign.
There is a small black jack on the side of the building for a 5VDC power source.
The 4.5V wart that Menards sells has 4 connectors that will fit the building
plug but it is unregulated and under little load the voltage is too high.
You can get a 5V cell phone charger at Walmart for $6 and the plug at RS
or a 5V supply with the correct connector and runs off a transformer from
Miller engineering.
The LEDs and the sign will operate off of a single 5VDC supply connected to
the single black jack on the side of the building.

The building has only one power hook-up...the 4.5VDC port on the back of the building. There are two independent on-off switches next to the port. One for the beer sign and the other for the lights should you choose to turn either or both off.
I powered my building with one of the plugs from a Lemax 3-plug 4.5VDC wall wart (plug-in wall transformer) like this:
These are usually used to power Lemax 4.5VDC accessories like Multi LED billboards.
I have no ill effects from using this supply.
I can't really say whether or not the Menard's supply would damage the beer sign as I have not tried it. However they show this power source on-line as the power pack to use with this building:
Youse pays your moneys and youse takes your chances!
I would think if that recommended power pack ruined the beer sign Menards would have to eat that return.

Thanks for the tip. Perfect, I have the same set that I purchased from the Ink Well at York & use for their billboards.
