The windows in the hotel are covered on the inside with a black cardstock...easily removed though working inside the structure requires removing the "tunnel" and turning upside down, reaching in, etc. I added a small incandescent bulb to the lobby, which sheds just a bit of light; should've used a bigger bulb but I like the warm effect.

Any monsters lurking?

No monsters that I am aware of...may be due to the Caped Crusader who is keeping an eye on this part of Gotham City. If you look closely, you'll find him in the picture below.

Steven -  your NY transit website has some great articles and pictures. I would love to have an EL and a real subway someday...would have to be retrofitted.

Hi Paul

The website is not mine. I belong to a group of New York City Subway modelers but use the website as a reference for all and give some props to our group.

The website owner and author is Steve Olsen. But yes, the website has much in the way of information on transit modeling and building and elevated structure.

The electric cars and track, are those EZ Streets?

Roger-that, Steve...mostly Super Streets and some EZ (the same except for color gray).

Back to the Hotel Royale...I answered the OP's question though no follow-up? Except for lack of hobby lighting and the poltergeist lighting t/o the high-rise, which I also found a solution to remedy, Menards hit the ball out of the park with this hotel.
