First of all, I don't want this subject to become a Menards Bashing. I have nothing but praise for all items I've purchased from them, including every building they've put out so far and multiples of many of them. So don't let me see any negative responses to this topic. This if for info only to inform.
I felt very fortunate to visit a local Menards on Saturday and inquired about the Burned out Engine House having had the SKU#, Thanks to Mark the Menards Guy. I was informed that (2) of them had come in on the truck that day, but freight had not yet been unloaded and thus this item was not yet on the shelf. However, I was able to purchase the item that day and the back room staff located the items amid several pallets of new freight. Cudo's to them all.
My first opportunity to view the building was late Sunday evening. What I found was a building that had a fair amount of Mold on one end of the structure. (See Photos) So.., this is just a cautionary post to have any one who purchases this item, to not let it set around for a few weeks/months or whatever. You may be in for a big surprise when you open the box at a later date. I have since cleaned up the mess and placed the structure outside in the sun today, so I'm sure it will be fine. Just have never experienced anything like this and wanted to pass along the info for those who may decide to make this purchase. Perhaps, this is a one and only, but make sure you check yours out in a timely fashion.
