Is it safe to assume we will not see anymore Lionel special train sets for Menards? Is Menards just doing rolling stock and buildings?

It maybe to early to tell. They don't have their train stuff out in their stores yet.

I can't remember if they even did one last year? It seems like in the past couple of years they have just had a few of the normal sets for sale. It would be neat to see a custom one again. I still regret not getting the Soo Line diesel one from a few years ago.
Mr. Menard has switched to having the Kader-Sanda Kan-Bachmann people making custom items in O gauge and O Scale.
It is hard to say what they could come up with next.
There could be a SOO LINE or Wisconsin Central GP30 diesel freight set coming from Bachmann.

This would make more sense. From a cost point of view and profit margin. If they used Williams trains, that wouldn't be too bad as Williams stuff is respectable. I just went to the Menards website and came across a new building I'm going to order - a locomotive maintenance shed. Has opening doors and the ability for track to be placed in it such that the loco or whatever can pass through the building.

Correct. And it's still avaiable on the Menards website. I'm a little surprised by this because I thought they were decent collectibles. My suspicion is that they had a lot of these, unsold, so it would have been foolish to do a new 2013 set. Although I wish they would have. Oh, well. Maybe the Bachmann alliance will provide us with a new set.
