About a week ago I picked up a Menards Mercantile building on clearance really cheap....  When hooked up only one of the window led's work, the other two light but are supper dim.  Since I am a beginner at this I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this problem and how to fix.

I too have that building and two of the LED lights have gone bad. I suspect the connection between the LED and the wiring was bad.

You should check the dimmer controls for each light (takes a tiny screw driver to adjust) but if that doesn't fix it the LED's or the wiring to them is bad.

I had to cut the wires leading to the bad LED's and replace them with some (12VDC prewired) ones I had on hand. Since the input voltage for the building is 12-16 Volts AC (and converts that to DC) you could also use a tiny incandescent bulb. However that would require a bulb socket and wire splicing also. If the bulb is at least rated for 12volts it won't care if the power  to it is AC or DC it will still work.

If you don't have any LED's or are uncomfortable with repairs I suggest returning it for a replacement. Menard's is pretty good with returns.

The Menards near us had some buildings. The store manager said they were not on Xmas closeout sale, list price. Had heard a few others with this issue which is why we were interested in a "spare" piece:-)
