Here it is guys, the BEST building Menards has come out with. This building20170927_10080820170927_10095420170927_10100920170927_10090320170927_10081820170927_10092220170927_10085420170927_10102520170927_10095920170927_100853_00120170927_10084320170927_10083220170927_10082420170927_100908 it is BIG ! Located downtown by the depot  and several stores, this is the best eye catcher yet. The interior  lites are perfect .You just can't see the great detail, unless you see it in person. Also, this building is HEAVY.. shipping weight was 22 pounds, and the hotel was very well packed with many corner braces and foam to protect it. Another great product bought  to us from our friends at  Menards !

Those are great photos Cabinet Bob. It is a super product from our RR friends @ Menards. The good Wisconsin folk have "leap-frogged" the other model suppliers.. I just wonder if the other guys have taken a nap?  I get the connection to Rear Window. Let's hope there are no nefarious deeds going on in the backyard of the Royale. I love the fictional movie almost as mush as the fine new product. I have often wondered WHAT was with the Jimmy Steward when Grace Kelly was in the room. A modern day head shrink would think the peeping voyeur had problems below the belt far beyond a "broken leg". Fine job by creative Menards product people. Thank you.

The windows are much better then the train stations, However one sore point on the windows is that there seems to be a person looking through the blinds at the same point on each window, I think.

Ahh...maybe there is.....the plot thickens..Just wait...you maybe surprised what they are looking at...I would tell you, but I just can't...stay tuned...........

Maybe it is a private eye convention in town.

A bunch of spys

A swimming pool full of attractive ladies.

Politicians spying on each other.

All of the above.

Model railroaders seem ( group fix) to have lots of imaginary images dancing in our brain. IS your hotel placement on the "good" side of the tracks .. OR is your town hotel well past it's prime? You know some people would say,  " Were you brought up on the wrong side of the tracks"? The Royale  as we now know resides close to the Fairgrounds. It's not really in the same class as the Waldorf but instead a suitable middle-class joint with clean rooms that don't attract the seedy side with by the hour rates.  Face it, a hotel too close to the noise and dirt of the railroad is not a very good business model. Hollywood is full of images of big city hotels .. joints where you never want to close your eyes for more than about 10 mins. Here's a few links from the movie internet database.

1. Bad Day at BlackRock ( Great Railroad opening scene in small western town )

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047849/

2. Barton Fink ( Chet will let you check-in.. Now you are here but can't really check out )

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101410/

3. Shining ( a nice place with CREEPY room #237)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081505/

4. The Anderson tapes ( A robbery of a really upscale living space )

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066767/

Men behind peering broken blinds @ Royale are really Russian agents probably leftover from the Nixon era plumbers ? It should be evident I have thought about this subject TOO much.
