cabinet Bob,

Could you please call someone and have them correct this problem. I'm sure a lot of people would like to purchase these beautiful tank cars. cabinet Bob, what is the price per tank car or are they sold only in a six pack.

I hate to point out the obvious, but I went to the Menards website and found all the new tanks cars along with the prices for individual cars and 6-packs.

I bought a 6 car set of Army diesel tank cars and all where fine except one where one axle on each truck was not in place.  Judging by the difficulty in putting them back in, this could not have been a shipping issue, but a QA issue.  They all seem to operate just fine to me.  Just don't like the fact that the 10% discount does not include online sales, and their packing and shipping seems a bit high, but still an affordable way to get O scale rolling stock.

I'd love to get these, but we purchased 3 of the Lifesavers cars last year, and they all had issues with the trucks.  I don't care about "scale" or "sitting to high", etc.  However, on those, the wheels weren't quite far enough apart, so the trucks tended to --more so on one end than on the other-- always "seek" instead of riding true on Tubular track (Lionel or Menards).  They derailed quite a bit--especially if they were coupled together or if they were at the front of a train. As a result, I cannot really trust them anywhere but just before the caboose, and they run even better with non-Menards cars between them.

However, these are $5 more than the modern era tank cars sold for last year, as I recall, so I hope that this price increase doesn't just reflect inflation but also better QC as far as the trucks go, in which case I would be happy to buy them!!

I love the looks of the Sinclair and Pepsi cars!! (Though I must state that a Coca-Cola car would have been better, y'know.   I was looking at them, complimented the looks of the Pepsi car, and was called a "traitor" by my family member. )

I purchased several of the Menard hoppers about six months ago. They look, priced inexpensive, but like others I found the trucks problematic. They did have a tendency to derail at times. I’m not saying I will not purchase Menard cars in the future but I think I will wait for the reviews if others first.

The new hoppers have shorter steps to eliminate  the  trucks from hitting the steps
