Dave won't admit it, but his time off isn't going to be all that much of a vacation.  For one thing, I believe he is receiving his new and long-awaited drum kit this week, and then The Clarks have two major appearances scheduled next week as they debut their new Feathers and Bones album.

First is a FREE performance at the Mercer Bicentennial Celebration in downtown Mercer on Friday, July 11 (9 p.m.).

Second is the big official debut at Stage AE in Pittsburgh on Saturday, July 12 (6:30 p.m.).  Check The Clarks website for ticket info.

And earlier in the week the group has, I believe, some scheduled broadcast appearances/interviews/etc.

Not quite what one might call a "relaxing" period for Dave, but it should be an exciting one.

Dave knows how to do it.  O Gauge trains and his band.  What a mistake I made going to college for electronics.

Dave,

Have a good 'vacation'.  Maybe I will be able to attend the show.

Welcome to my world. I've missed 11 consecutive O Scale West meets and three planned vacations because of work (must be there) conflicts. I usually get an extended weekend here and there. Thought it would ease up after I went to project management instead of being the malevolent systems administrator, but the work has actually gone up. Go figure. I guess I'm the one in five government employees that actually works.

Anyways Dave safe travels!

I don’t think Bigfoot takes a Vacation?
They are known to hang out and read O Gauge Railroading Magazine…

Have A Great Vacation Dave...

Dave, I think the best vacation is doing what you want to do and I hope you're going to be doing just that. Have a great one.

Allan, some people would love to have your job and would call putting together an OGR issue a pretty neat vacation.

Terry,

Oh well.  What I do pays the bills.  I was never a visionary, never knew how to make money doing what I wanted to.  My had is off to Dave or others who make a go of it.

I think we are in good company here, like over 95% of the folks on this Forum!
