I GREATLY appreciate the offers to sell us Christmas Cars.  I have a problem (or two). Connie and I decided to purchase a Lionel Christmas car for every year we've been together/married--1991.  At the beginning, it seemed like a good idea.  Today, we have the cars from 1991 to 2011 including a Lionel Christmas music boxcar, a K Line 1993 Christmas boxcar (because we liked it better than the Lionel design) and of course, a Lionel Christmas caboose.

I'm about five to ten cars away from NOT being able to use my HUGE upper return loop on the Glacier Line.

We stopped doing the Christmas cars under the tree because the engine's nose was a dime width behind the caboose!

We run our undersized Polar Express, the Berk and three passenger cars, under the tree.

We no longer use our 4-4-0 Lionel Christmas steamer (No sounds--smoke only) because it can't begin to pull all the Christmas cars we have at any one time!  It's a great little conventional engine.  Wanna buy it?  It sits and collects dust at our place.

LASTLY, I would buy the 2012 Lionel Christmas car, but will NOT pay the crazy prices people are asking for it.  The craze had to do with a production issue.  It's a cute little toy, NOT a collector's item, at least to me.  :-)
