I thought you guys would like to see a few pictures I took some time ago of my good friend, Mickey Selligman's 2-Rail layout.  Some of you may know him as the guy that owned "Mickey's Model Works", an exclusive trains only hobby shop.  Mickey had his shop for many years in various cities in Arkansas until he and his wife Mary finally settled down and retired in the same town that I and my wife live in....as a matter of fact they are our next door neighbors!!  Mickey had his shop in the mall here in Mountain Home for a few years before he closed it.  Now he is devoting his time building his 2-rail layout he calls The Interstate.  I snapped a few quick shots and decided to share them with you.  His layout, like most, is a work in progress but is a good size and is in a specially built room devoted to the trains.  Hope you enjoy....

Well...I am surprised that Mickey hasn't chimed in here...but....anyway, thanks guys for the nice comments!

As I said in my post above, his layout is a work in progress thus the reason why ballast and other details are missing...

He recently installed a Millhouse transfer table so some of what you see in these pictures is changed or under construction...again!

Nick,

I guess I have made the transition from 45 years of 2-rail modeling to 3-rail modeling.  I didn't even notice Mickey only uses 2 rails.  Come to think of it, after viewing a 3-rail video, I didn't notice the 3 rails!

Great job Mickey!!  Many thanks to you and to Alan for posting!!

Thanks guys for posting the nice comments!  HEY...Mickey did chime in!!!  HURRAY!!

We had a great time this past weekend as our friend Mike Burnside from Jonesboro Arkansas was visiting and so the three of us went to work and made a lot of progress getting the Millhouse transfer table tracks installed and rejoined the mainline tracks.  Mickey is up and running again after too many weeks of construction!  More progress will occur over the next weeks and so I will up date the pictures....

Thanks,

Alan
