I was flipping through the latest copy of “Rollsign” the New England transit magazine I pick up at Charles Ro when I make my almost weekly trip and found this beautiful machine inside! It’s MBTA No.1054 F40PH-2C that is one of 10 other units like it that are being completely overhauled at MotivePower INC. of Boise,Idaho. This unit was built in 1987 and is coming back in the same livery as the new HSP-46. Nice to see new life put back in these old classics I saw many times and still see today. So Mike from MTH PLEASE TAKE NOTE! As you can see i’m Not above begging 🥺.

I'd be in for one of these. I think it's possible. Since it wouldn't involve new tooling. Just a new paint scheme on the existing F40 molds. Which MTH has been doing lately.

Yea.....there was an annoying guy on this forum that begged Lionel to make a certain hudson every year. They're finally making it for him so he can stop now.
