My smaller layout (see link below) is a 10'-by-5' tabletop style with just a single O-54 oval. The 5-foot width makes it accessible from both sides - which is important to me - for construction, maintenance and track cleaning. You could do a simple layout with two separate ovals. Outer O-54 O gauge loop on lower level and inner On30 loop with 22-inch radius on an upper level. The Bachmann On30 Ten-Wheeler 4-6-0 steam locomotive runs on 22-inch radius and the 2-6-0 and 0-6-0 run on 18-inch radius... If you have a personal limitation, maybe it's best to keep the layout small so it will be a manageable project. Can you be satisfied with just two loops and O-54?
