Years ago I read an article about modeling a 737 or something similar on two flatcars. Since no 737 was available in1/48 they suggested using another model in 1/87 scale of a plane that looked similar but was much bigger so it was close to looking like a 1/48 plane. Anybody know what plane that would be?

The cars and fuselage were a special run by K-line. OGR did an article on them. I can’t recall the exact year, but it was in the early 2000’s.
Thanks for the reply. I’m not talking about the K-line model. There was an article in some magazine about making your own and it said what plane kit to buy.
There are 1:72 scale versions on eBay. EXPENSIVE!! And, there are 707s in 1:72. They are larger than a 737.
