Anyone put their's together yet? Got to be the worst instruction diagram that I've seen. Also the set comes with 1extra base for a total of 17. IMO, it would have made more sense to have 18. Any reason for the extra curves?
What do you guys think?

Doc, I have not even had a chance yet to take my monorail out of the box !
I was interested in the figure 8 expansion but have yet to see any specs on it. I too would love to see someone set theirs up so I could decide (soon, apparently they are selling out) if I should purchase it.
I don't have it setup yet and at the rate they are selling I probably won't have the opportunity. BTW, I believe that is supposed to say (11) Die-Cast Hanger Bases.
The label is correct. One base. You replace 10 of the original hangers with 10 figure 8 hangers and use the extra hanger with the new base.
Thanks Doc for taking the time to set it up and post the photo.
Not sure it would fit in that configuration on my planned layout, but I might have to order the figure 8 anyway and see later if I can make it work.
What are the dimensions of that thing?

A quick measurement shows that mine is approximately 43 1/2" x 115" plus several inches for the bases.

Thanks Doc!
Been trying to figure out how a monorail crosses it self in a figure 8. Then I saw the picture of the layout an there it was, a 90 degree crossing in the track! How do the cars get through it???
Then I realized the box pictured says in big bold letters, "Over and Under." Looked at that many times and never noticed it! LOL. Now I see in the layout picture the differences in elevation from one side to the other. Duh!
The first thing that comes to mind is adapting that idea to a layout that has one of those magnificent cityscapes. Have stations, signals and related paraphernalia suspended 6' - 8' above table top. Somewhat like a futuristic prediction from the 1930's of how cities would look in the year 2000.
