I have been working on a PS-1 to PS-3 upgrade of a 1997 MTH Rail King Allegheny for the last four days or so.

I completed the upgrade yesterday and did a test in conventional mode-all went well.

I found what appear to be the correct sound and chain files on the MTH website-I installed those files this morning.  The loading process stalled a couple of times for both the sound and chain files but, using "Retry" they ultimately completed.

The locomotive runs well and sounds GREAT, but I have two issues...

1)  The headlight does not come on, even when I try to turn it off and on with the DCS Handheld.

2)  The backup light does not go off when the locomotive is going forward-it can be turned off with the Marker Light command on the DCS Handheld.

I checked the headlight again and it is wired correctly-the wiring is not broken or pinched.

I checked to make sure that the backup light is plugged into the correct connector in the tender (there is a cable/connector for the backup light and the rear marker lights and I thought that I might have confused them, but the backup light is in the correct connector.

All of the other features including smoke and the rear coupler are working correctly.

Should I be trying other chain files?

Thank you.
