Considering I'm at York on "school days", I've seen more school-aged kids than I expected. To be honest, I don't think York would do much in the way of getting someone interested in trains. It's really a huge supermarket for train fanatics, and a bit overwhelming for the uninishiated.

I would tend to agree.
As far as age go's I'm 58 when I joined TCA 33year's a go all I saw was white hair at the show's back then I was one of the few young there at 25 buying train's ,my train money mostly came from scrap copper .
