I have been using screws to mount a TIU vertically under my layout.  I dread every time I must remove it as I am on my back, the lighting isn't very good and the screw head is small.

Is there an alternate, simpler way to mount a TIU and AIU vertically?  Velcro? Commercially available straps?

Thanks,

Tom

I bought a short bungee cord that is a loop and has a ball on one end. I run the cord thru holes on either side of the TIU. The ball holds the cord until I stretch it out and release the #1 TIU. There is also a stop that keeps the TIU from sliding downward while removing it.

My other #2 TIU (for O scale) is on the face board of my layout mounted with screws and is easy to work on.

My G scale #3 TIU is just laying there in the pic. It goes outside for the summer with another #4 that remains out there.

Thanks for your reply.  A better solution than what I am currently using.  Tom
