I cannot express in words how grateful Ginny and I are for the kind words and gestures of support from so many of you. It is truly amazing to receive so many e-mails and posts here on the Forum telling us how you have appreciated what we have done with the Munoz Lines. For all of our Forum friends and the OGR Forum gang, thanks from the bottom of our hearts.

I have had so many friends ask, "What's going on? Why are you taking the layout down?" I felt I wanted to write a few words about the future.

I have always viewed life as a journey, a river of sorts. I'm never satisfied with what I am doing or what I have created. In a fashion, it is a blessing and a curse. I build, I create, and I want to do more. It is the process and the creating I love. I want to challenge myself to do ever increasingly difficult things and to do what I have always dreamed of doing. As an artist I want to travel around the world, see the Taj Mahal and Machu Pichu. I want to photograph the countries of Bhutan and Nepal and write books and more . . . . Also, I want to build a narrow gauge two rail layout of my dreams where the trains are as real as I can build them.

The OGR Forum is an amazingly rich and diverse library of infinite ideas and wisdom about trains and life. What is exchanged here is precious and I will come back again and again to benefit from everything said and done in this amazing place. We don't always agree and sometimes we do. It all contributes to a fantastic journey.

I'm off and heading down the tracks . . . . . I want to know where they go !

Nicely stated and a good update on what you will be doing.  I am sure your modeling skills will help make the 2 rail narrow gauge layout very realistic and a winner!  Best of luck and enjoy your travels, please keep us posted once you settle back down in Carmel and start the new layout.  Hoping you and Ginny have a great time .....

Hate to see you leave, that's a world class railroad you're tearing down.  Looking forward to your next one, I suspect it'll be brilliant.  Be careful where you travel, it's gettin' kind of rough out there.

Since we both have a habit of playing blues guitar is there any way you might post or send a clip of your musical artistry?

Pete
