I am having problems with the headlight and class lights on my LNE camelback.  The class lights will not go on at all and the headlight will also not go on.  I have done factory and feature resets, tried turning them on and off with the soft keys and tried engine recovery as well.  I went a little further and tested the output with my multimeter and am showing no voltage going to either the class lights or headlight.  The engine has the 3V proto 2.0 board.  I followed the wires back to the board and everything is plugged in where it should be.  I was thinking maybe trying to reload the sound file through the computer.  Before I try that, does it sound like an electrical problem with the board or the software problem I am hoping it is?  Thanks guys.

The classification light is just lite from the Headlight bulb correct?  Some times the screw bulbs can be hard to get good contact.  Does the coupler and reverse light work?

If no coupler and lights the board has a damaged trace which is repairable.  If coupler and reverse light work, could be a tether broken wire or the bulb not screwed in all the way or not making contact.   G

The MTH instructions don't show that set up, but MTH started using a small PCB as a short cut for a MUX.  Can you post a pic of the marker and it's board?

They still are powered from the same headlight source if it has this small PCB board.  So find why the headlight doesn't work an the marker may come on.

Picture would help me help you! G

Is this a Premier or RK version?  That is the MUX board. So a signal is sent from the tender MUX board so that 2 lights in the engine can be controlled from 1 light wire.

This is more complex to trouble shoot, but as mentioned you need to make sure you have continuity from the tender through the harness to the engine.  After that if you know the bulbs and markers are good, it is a MUX issue most likely in the engine.

Do you have smoke working and speed control?  If so, the light fet or the chip is bad.

I have a replacement board.  This takes some swapping of parts though to isolate the issue.  Might be best for a tech to do, unless it is the harness.

Possibilities are PS-2 board FET bad, Mux bad, harness bad, Engine PCB solder joint, wiring.   G

Should be, but I don't know if it meets the tech only trigger.  I have one in stock.  You can contact me via my profile.

This is a little weird now.  The marker is off 5V and the headlight off + voltage, but Interior light still works.  Since reverse and coupler work, the + V trace on the PS-2 board is OK.  Changing MUX is probably best at this point.  G
