Do you have a favorite F-3 diesel you would like to see a MTH dealer make? If you were allowed to pick three which ones would they be. My picks would be a Great Northern orange and green, a Canadian Pacific and a Pennsylvania in Brunswick Green.

Missouri Pacific, GM&O, Burlington
I would like the F3 in Western Maryland Fireball. However, I think I am going to order the B&O version that has been advertised.
Blue and yellow VIA Rail! That would be a first haha
MikeH, Mark Boyce, and DylTrains,
Those are all great Selections.
I would love to see some Southern F-3s in this paint scheme. Atlas did it once way back in 2008 and MTH made it once back in 1997.
RJ I and SIRT, I hope you both get what you are asking for. Both are great looking diesels. I have always thought, you never can have to many diesels.
Via Rail, and Canadian National. JohnA
John A, I like both off your suggestions.
C. Sam, The Bangor and Aroostook you have pictured would be great. I know Side Track Hobbies in Maryland was thinking about doing this diesel. I hope they do.
Burlington Northern in Cascade Green, Black, and White lettering/numbering.
I’m in for a set of the Bangor and Aroostook F-3s if they’re done correctly.
Count me in for a VIA rail or CN
drelo A set of Burlington Northern diesels in your preferred colors would be great.
Jim S. Another vote for a set of the Bangor and Aroostook done like the above picture.
Justaguy, Another vote for both the VIA Rail and Canadian National. Both of these diesels are great looking.
Good Morning everyone,
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that responded. I don't know if any of your suggestions will be produced. Hopefully, Rich Foster will read this post and like some of your ideas.
Jim, I decided not to wait on a Western Maryland special run, but ordered the B&O A and B units from one of our Forum sponsors. I remember seeing trains on the B&O near our home with just an A and B.
Need SCL only.
I would go for the BN units, IF, they are correctly detailed on the roof with the Prime beacon 8901 beacon, dark upper headlight, main headlight in the door functional only ect. Those B&A units look great as well. My fav, Monon was already done as a custom run by Mr Muffins, but finding a set can take some hard looking. AD
Mark, you will be very pleased with your new B. and O. diesels. They looked great on MTH's flyer.
Sirt, I hope you get what you want soon.
artfull dodger, I believe you may get what you want.

Mr. Muffins is currently taking preorders on Monon F3's in two different paint schemes. I don't know anything about Monon so maybe you're talking about something different.
I have a friend who would really like an ABBA set of Premiere Central of Georgia F3s. He's thought about the RK C.of Ga but all his equipment is Premiere and he wants to stay with the full-scale models.
Does anyone know if the PRR F3 will have the glossy Tuscan paint job like the recent E8 version?

Jim, I think they look great too! They will look a lot better than the set I repainted in solid blue, that is for sure! 😉
Berwyn’s Toys and Trains has Burlington Northern in Green and black as well as ICG in orange and white. They are custom runs in MTH Premier. You can order theM from their new website:

I vote for GM&O and C&EI in the future

IIRC so far only Atlas has produced scale GM&O units. A powered/dummy A-A pair in the very early scheme with no B units. I think C.Sam has shown us his. If MTH makes them there's the possibility of powered A, dummy A, and dummy B units all sold separately. (Unfortunately if consisting two powered A's you lose the grade crossing signal sound.) If Lionel makes them you have 2 powered A's (one without sound) sold as a set, powered B without sound due to Bluetooth in its place now, or an unpowered B with Superbass, no dummy B. If Atlas runs them we might have powered A units, dummy A units, powered B units and dummy B units. We'll see which company makes them first, they may get the most orders. Hopefully at least one of them will.

I would love to see Northern Pacific in both the 2 tone green passenger scheme and the Pine Tree scheme.

I know of a few others coming soon...
We are doing both the Monon Red & Gray with the black roof, and the black & gold version, plus we are doing Lehigh Valley.
Follow the link to checkout the F3's in Monon: Monon
- MTH 20-21594-1 - F-3 A Unit Diesel Engine "Lehigh Valley" #524 w/ PS3 (Hi-Rail Wheels) - Custom Run for MrMuffin'sTrains
- MTH 20-21594-3 - F-3 B Unit Diesel Engine "Lehigh Valley" #525 (Unpowered) - Custom Run for MrMuffin'sTrains
- MTH 20-21595-1 - F-3 A Unit Diesel Engine "Lehigh Valley" #526 w/ PS3 (Hi-Rail Wheels) - Custom Run for MrMuffin'sTrains
I think we will see more F3's announced in '22..... good suggestions?
How about F7's and FT's?
@MrMuffin'sTrains Yes! Thanks.
MoPac, GM&O, and Burlington all had F7's.
MoPac, Burlington, and Rock Island FT's would be cool too.

How about the option of fixed pilots? I'd be in.
How about this: Undecorated with a MARS light and fixable pilots. Break out the air brushes.
Delaware Lackawanna and Western...... NOT Erie Lackawanna

Thanks Mario! After the silver ones and then horrid "Easter Egg" painted F3 debacle, we are excited to release these. We are taking pre-orders for a late spring/early summer 2022 arrival.
Good choice Mario.
