Just received subject engine. It would start and stop then shut down but not a program shut down. After testing the track with an NW2 proto 3 by mth and did not have similar problems. Tried the new dash8 on a separate track and the problem repeated.

Inspection of the truck/motors I determine that the front pickup roller sticks in the up position.

Can the pickup roller be easily remedied?

Is it best to purchase a new pickup roller?

since it is only two days old should I return it?
