Just purchased a DCS Explorer as a backup to a malfunctioning TIU. Cannot get the thing to send power to the track. Wires are attacjhed as they should be from track lockon to red/black connections on explorer. Power is applied but nothing happens , no power goes to track, its completely dead. Checked 5 A fuse on unit and it appears OK. Layour wiring is the same as used by the TIU and its OK. Took first Explorer I bought back as defective, the replacement acts exactly the same. Cannot figure out how the unit when setup precisely as described in the owners manual still will not work unless it is basically a poorly contructed product. I use bullet plugs and wires from track to fixed port on TIU and all is good. Use same connection to Explorer and nothing.

Be sure you are connected to the MTH WiFi and then try selecting or adding an engine.
What are you using for power?

🤤 ???
Problem solved. Power not applied to track until refresh tab is pushed in the MTH APP. Hokie and not at all clear in the setup instructions.
Must be a normal situation. Just yesterday I had to push the refresh tab to make it connect to the track.

Yes it is normal that power doesn’t go to the track when you power up the Explorer. You need to use the app to refresh or add a new engine, etc.
